There are plenty to thank but I think that I will start here: much to my chagrin, I drafted Patric Mahomes in the first round, only to see his weekly performance nearly mirror Caleb Williams.
After losing 3 out of the first 4 early games I knew that I would have to close like the great Seabiscuit down the stretch to at least show or place let alone win. So, in that early morning as I drank my coffee black with a splash of honey
I saw thar Jared Goff was on waivers. With shock and delight I spat my cup of ambition all over the keyboard did a cartwheel and scooped him up like a fumbled football at the goal line. It was like a Jocky in the paddock winking at me assuring me that
his horse would win the upcoming race. I felt like the Home Coming Queen dumped the captain of the football team and asked me to the prom. Hell, I already had the Jack the Queen and King and now I pulled an Ace? plus I had a Joker in hand. I was favored by fate.
And a Big shout out to coach numbskull Nick Sirianni for obvious reason.
As for picking Mahomes first, oh well, all is well that ends well.
